1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using UketoAI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

UketoAI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini / Vertex AI) to recognize and extract information from images of documents such as business cards, receipts, invoices, and other printed materials.

4.1 Free Tier

• 20 AI scans per month
• Advertisements may be displayed
• Access to system default scan categories
• Export as plain text (single record only)

4.2 Pro Tier

• 100 AI scans per month
• Ad-free experience
• Ability to create and edit custom scan categories
• Full export support (vCard, CSV, Contacts, plain text)
• Billed through Apple's App Store (monthly or yearly)

4.3 Premium Tier

• 500 AI scans per month
• Ad-free experience
• Ability to create and edit custom scan categories
• Full export support (vCard, CSV, Contacts, plain text)
• Billed through Apple's App Store (monthly or yearly)

4.4 Ultimate Tier

• 2,000 AI scans per month
• Ad-free experience
• All Premium features included
• Priority customer support
• Billed through Apple's App Store (monthly or yearly)

4.5 Add-on Credit Packs

In addition to subscription plans, you may purchase one-time credit packs (100, 200, or 500 credits) for additional scans. Credits do not expire and are consumed only after your monthly subscription quota is used up.

4.6 Payment

Subscription fees and credit pack purchases are charged to your iTunes/Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Specific pricing is displayed in the App Store.

4.7 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate as your initial subscription (unless pricing changes, in which case you will be notified in advance).

4.8 Subscription Management

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions at any time after purchase.

4.9 Refund Policy

All refund requests must be processed through Apple App Store's standard procedure. In accordance with App Store policy, we generally do not provide refunds for partially used subscription periods. To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

5. User Content

Regarding the documents you scan and store through the App:

• You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to scan, store, and process all information you input through the App.
• You shall not use the App to scan or store any personal information you are not authorized to process.
• You agree not to use any information obtained through the App for illegal purposes, harassment, unsolicited commercial promotion (spam), or any behavior that violates the privacy of others.
• Ownership of scanned data belongs to you or the lawful holder of the original document.

6. User Accounts

• Your account is automatically created when you first open the App, using a device-generated unique identifier.
• You may optionally link your iCloud account for cross-device identity and data sync.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.
• One account per device. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App
• Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to excessively access the service or scrape data
• Upload content that is offensive, illegal, or violates third-party rights
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the App's normal operation

8. Intellectual Property

The App and all related rights, including but not limited to source code, interface design, visual elements, graphics, icons, trademarks, text content, and all related intellectual property rights, are the exclusive property of UketoAI or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all possible faults, and without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will meet your requirements, operate without interruption or errors, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI recognition results. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on such information.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UketoAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, business opportunities, profits, or any commercial damages arising from your use of the App, regardless of the theory of liability. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you actually paid for the App's premium service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50.00), whichever is greater.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for technical, security, legal, or business reasons. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from all your devices.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modified terms will be published within the App or on our official website and will take effect upon publication. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law principles. For any disputes arising from these Terms, both parties shall first attempt to resolve through amicable negotiation. If negotiation fails, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

15. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms and the referenced Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and UketoAI regarding the use of the App.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
• Waiver: Failure by UketoAI to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
